The adult entertainment industry has certain gone through a radical change in recent years. Originally, the industry earned it huge profits from DVD sales. This is no longer the case as DVD sales have dropped so dramatically even the cable news business channels made regular mention of the drop-off. However, it would seem that the industry has experienced a significant resurgence in cash flow thanks to online subscription sites. The reasons such sites have proven wildly profitable should not come as a surprise to anyone. There is no production of DVDs, no shipping, no retailing, and far less advertising costs. This ability to market adult oriented subscription websites has allowed the industry to bounce back after several straight years of falling profits. Time will tell if these boosted revenues continues.
